Hello, My name is Morgan Hunter—owner and provider at Sat Nam Grounding. Sat Nam Grounding has been a long time in the making for me and is rooted in my passion for yoga as a healing modality.
Any of my close people can tell you that yoga has been a large part of my life since I was young. I have led many practices to friends, family, colleagues, and community/studio classes.
My experiences coupled with my innate instincts to empower those around me, I knew “the therapies” were my path—and my passion for root-cause healing urged me to take a holistic, organic approach.
My Personal History
Having experienced traumas in my youth, healing has been an ongoing process. The deep psychological impacts of those traumas drove me to my depths; suicide attempts, drugs, alcohol, weight fluctuations, poor relationships/attachments, self-degrading thought patterns, living inauthentically, and bouts of deep depression.
I tried numerous modalities and some helped as temporary bandaids.
The only thing that ever truly worked for my own healing is the inner healing work in stride with the outer healing work—what I have come to call somatic grounding. This balance is necessary. Much like Laplace’s Law, a balloon needs an equal amount of internal and external pressure to maintain its shape.
Throughout early adulthood, I had ebbs and flows of times where I stood strong in my practices, then would fall off and my life would plummet. After having my children, I knew I couldn’t fall back again. This is my call to fully embody somatic grounding.
My Somatic Practitioner Path
There are synchronicities everywhere if we know how to look.
I felt called to help people my entire life. Since I was a child, I never understood competitiveness. I wanted others to win as much if not more than I wanted myself to win.
Adulthood took me various routes: I studied Management, Communications, and Professional Writing and Publishing in college. All of these focuses interested me by how they focused on psychology.

Psychology is everywhere—employee motivators, marketing to target audiences, publishing and how to keep a reader engaged. Even though I was the only student in my Major who wore colored pencil leggings to class and my professors questioned if I was in the right place, I thrived. Of course studying yoga as an emphasis helped me stay focused.
All my career choices have been aligned with my purpose to help others:
- I taught Journalism and Literature abroad in the remote islands of Chuuk, Micronesia. There, I deepened my connection to the elements, community, and holistic healing. Read more about my experience here.
- I worked in memory care with Alzheimer’s and dementia in Madison, which led me to hospice work.
- I took an AmeriCorps year and worked with Madison Metro School District and United Way of Dane County.
- I applied for my master’s degree in social work, although I was torn on psychology or social work. The Universe told me it was not the time based on being 5 credits short to be admitted (a communication error with the advisor).
After my children were born, I focused on freelancing to help nonprofits and small businesses thrive using various skills. Post pandemic life and new-motherhood took a toll on me, until I was surged with empowerment. I became a yoga instructor and immediately started teaching 6+ weekly classes. The momentum hasn’t stopped.
I began studying quantum physics, various religions, healing modalities, and Kundalini. The more I learned, the more the doors to somatic work just continued to open. I pursued various certifications and here I am. As I open Sat Nam Grounding, I am filled with a sense of purpose.

Future Goals
My future goals are to continue the path of being a life-long student. I hope to never stop learning, growing, being deeply humbled, and soaking up each of life’s moments—the happy and the sad.
How beautifully human it is that we are all here to experience profound joy, complete sadness, and everything in between.
I plan to go for my master’s when my children are a bit older to further my skills and study somatic psychotherapy. Until then, I am truly honored to practice somatic grounding bodywork with clients through Sat Nam Grounding

Personal Life
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have a regular yoga and somatic grounding practice that includes somatic touch, movement, nature immersion, vibrational healing, journaling, various breath work techniques, ho-oponopono, ECM, dousing, and tapping methods. I love being in nature and spend as much time outside with my children as possible. We love to swing, run, hike, play in the dirt, climb trees, roll down hills, swim, kayak, and just lay under the healing rays of sunshine.
I dabble in many forms of art, and will try any new form I can. So far, painting, drawing, writing, reading, music, and human connection are my favorite arts.
I am immensely grateful that you found Sat Nam Grounding and took the time to read. I look forward to growing and healing together. If you have any questions about me, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
